    Galaxy A16 5G Review- Design

Galaxy A16 5G looks like premium models, such as A35 and A55 (check our A55 review). The phone has a flat back and curved edges with rounded corners. The design also features triple camera rings. The fingerprint button and volume button are on the right-hand side. We have found no difficulty in accessing them.

Due to the even weight distribution, you can comfortably grab the mobile. However, the backside is too glossy. Personally, we do not prefer it, as there is a risk of smudges and fingerprints.

Galaxy A16 5G is available in different color options, ranging from golden to light green.

The USB Type-C port is between the SIM ejector tray and the speaker grille.

Display Quality of Galaxy A16 5G

Galaxy A16 comes with a Super AMOLED display with a dimension of around 6.7 inches. The 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and FHD resolution will provide the best experience. While using the phone indoors, you will find impressive image quality. But, as the peak brightness is only 800 nits, outdoor visibility may be a problem. Even the HDR brightness is low (at about 339 nits). Moreover, the reflective finish of the mobile screen produces a significant amount of glare.

Galaxy A16 5G Audio Quality Review

During phone calls, you will experience no issues with the audio quality. You will hear your clear voice, as the handset eliminates background noise.

There is just a single bottom-firing speaker with this mobile. When the speakerphone is turned on, the sound can reach 99.1 dB. So, while listening to music in a small room, the sound will be too loud.

You may use Bluetooth headphones for the best audio experience with Galaxy A16.

The Galaxy A16 mobile runs Android 14. Once we took it out of the package, we found Samsung’s One UI 6.1. However, as it was not the latest, version, we felt concerned.

But, Samsung offers an extensive 6-year update, ensuring smooth performance of your phone.

For those who have already used other Samsung mobiles and tabs, One UI 6.1 is nothing uncommon.

It is to be noted that the same software runs on costlier models like Galaxy A55 and A35. So, you can take advantage of Samsung’s Wallet, SmartThings, and other applications.

Let us now talk about performance in our Galaxy A16 review. The Mediatek Dimensity 6300 processor is used for the model. The chipset includes Cortex-A76 performance cores, which provide faster performance.

    Galaxy A16 Camera Review

Galaxy A16 has a triple camera setup like other Samsung mobiles. Other features include-

    • A 2MP macro sensor
    • 5MP ultra-wide lens
    • 50MP primary sensor
    • 13-megapixel Selfie camera

The primary camera has shown good performance during the daytime. However, when if there fast-moving objects, the output will be blurry. Some colors look too vibrant, but they are perfect when you share them on social platforms.

The 50-megapixel camera works well especially when you shoot photos in low-light conditions. The camera app also has a night mode that needs to be activated manually. The mode is not available with your ultra-wide camera.

Battery Quality of Galaxy A16 5G

The Galaxy A16 comes with a battery whose capacity is 5,000mAh.

However, the biggest problem is that there is no charger in the package. Although the battery quality is not the best, its optimization leads to better multimedia consumption.

If you continuously use the mobile for games, the battery charge will be reduced by 25%,
